Minutes of October 26, 2009 Susquehanna Branch of QDMA Board of Directors

Pledge of Allegiance

Presidents Opening Remarks - Branch President Jim Dovin read letter from QDMA CEO Brian Murphy thanking us for the 2009
Banquet, explained what the national office has done to streamline and help branches and to keep looking forward to better times.

Treasurers report - We have $4539.28 in the checking account.
Motion -made by John Butler to accept the treasurers report, seconded by Ken Singer.
Approved by ALL.

Secretary’s report - Motion to accept minutes of the last meeting made by Al Cuevas, seconded by
Rusty Ely. all in favor -unanimous yes..

Old Business -
The fertilizer has been put on the SGL foodplots. Signage is up and in place. (Thanks to Jack Sorber)

Wildlife habitat contractors list - we are slowly working on this. Refer to email remarks on the subject.
Add Casey O'Reilley to the list.

Reviewed/read letter that was sent to Dr. Gary Latimer.

Report on the Susquehanna Federation of Sportsmens Clubs Youth Field Day - Al Cuevas attended and represented
the branch at the presentation of the 22 rifle. There were 64 kids (18 girls). Al read us some of the comments and
Federation activities from the latest Federation mtg. Next mtg. is Nov. 19th at the new Milford Gun club.

New business -
Matt Sellers has provided a frame for the WLA Certificate that the Branch received from PICE.

The website needs refreshed - Damien will be asked to take care of this.

2010 Banquet - items to be done were to finalize the caterers price, and set the ticket prices.
We set the banquet ticket prices at single $50 and couple $70.
The VFW hall price has been finalized. Banquet is March 20, 2010.

Elections Nominating Committee - Chairman will be John Butler. Chairman Butler will seek two other directors to help
him with the election nominations. Two nominations for directors were received from the floor -
nominated were Matt Sellers and Rusty Ely. rusty Ely will check with Bill Stepniak to see if he is in interested in being a director.
Not seeking reelection are John Butler and Ken Singer

QDMA get together event - much discussion about holding the event in November. difficulties with procurring a date that
will work for us and for the Inn at Montrose. Jim H. via email thinks that it is too late to plan the event and pull it off.
Matt S. does not think that we should interfere with hunting opportunities.
After much discussion it was decided to delay this event until October 2010.

3 Gun Raffle Drawing - 1st place -Ky Amico won the 700 SPS Rem. Ultra instead of gun took the money ($450)
2nd place - Mike Thomas won the Mossberg 500 instead took the money ($250)
3rd place - Corey Meabe won the Knight instead took the money ($150)

Motion to adjourn made by Ken Singer, seconded by John Butler. Yes by ALL.
