The attached picture shows some the deer racks that were measured (3/22/08) at the Antler roundup in Montrose at Andre & Sons, Inc.

The rack that they are hanging was made by Larry Lee. Very nice job Larry, it worked great!

The 3 scoring teams consisting of Dave Wilcox, Dave Taylor, Ron Hollenbeck, Rick Larnerd, John Ketchur, County Commissioner Mike Giangreco, Damien Rutkoski, with help at times from Ken Singer, Rusty Ely, Jack Sorber, Bernie Ambrosavage (student who came with Damien R.) scored 35 racks from 9 to 2. The event was a big success. We even sold $50 worth of mercandise and $43 worth of raffle tickets to the State PAQDMA raffle of which we can keep 1/2. We talked with a lot of guys and gals.

 

Carlos C. was there with the WLA display and talked to several youths and adults about the program.

 

Also present we Al Cuevas, Jim Holbert (doing double duty as working for Andres and keeping us satisfied with all of our questions to him about stuff we might need), Jim Dovin and Bob Wagner.IT WAS BUSY, HECTIC BUT WE PUT OUT SOME GOOD WORDS WITH SEVERAL SPORTSMEN and probably will get several new memberships to QDMA out of it. Met a lot of nice people.
