Misson Statement:
The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) is a non-profit wildlife conservation organization dedicated to promoting sustainable, high quality white-tailed deer populations, wildlife habitats, and ethical hunting experiences through education, research, and management in partnership with hunters, landowners, natural resource professionals, and the public.

January - Branch board of directors meeting - Montrose; Pa. State Chapter QDMA Board of Directors meeting
                   in State College.
                  Banquet planning committee meeting - Richmondale.

February - Banquet planning committee meetings - Richmondale and Montrose.
                    Meet and greet session with the new QDMA Regional Director Brian Nentrup in Montrose.
                    Branch members Dave Wilcox, Al and Carlos Cuevas, Bob Wagner staffed
                    the PA. Chapter of QDMA booth at Eastern Sportsmens Show in Harrisburg.

March - Banquet committee planning meetings (Chairman Jim Dovin) - Montrose.
               Speaking engagement at the Springville Sportsmens Dinner - Ken Singer & Bob Wagner.
               Guest speaker at the South Apalachin Baptist Church Sportsmens dinner - Jack Sorber.
               Mini field Day - South Montrose at Rusty Ely property..
               7th Annual Susquehanna Branch of QDMA Banquet - VFW Montrose - most people ever,
               second most financially successful banquet fund raiser ever.
               Antler Scoring - at Andres in Montrose measured 32 different racks, educational info setup.
               Met with new PGC Commissiner Jay Delaney - Dovin, Cuevas, Wagner & Urian.

April - Branch BoD meeting;
             Pa. State Chapter of QDMA meeting - State College - Dave Wilcox and Bob Wagner.
             QDMA Stewardship level II - Georgia - Jack Sorber, Damien Rutkoski.
             Educational tables at Red Rock chapter NWTF Jakes field Day - Luzerne County
             7 talks during the day by Dave Wilcox, John Ketchur, Rusty Ely, Dave Taylor.

May - Speaking and eductional seminar with members of the High Point Gun Club - Jack Sorber and Jim Dovin.

June - Field Day Committee meeting - Montrose.
            spraying for weed control on SGL 35 Adopt a Food Plot areas - Jack Sorber, Bob Wagner.
            Presented 225lb DeerClub shirts to 2007 winners - Dave Sienko, Jr. (227lbs), Cody Scepanik (247lbs), &
            Ken Singer (247lbs).
            Attended NEPA Chapter of QDMA eductional event - Wagner & Rutkoski

July - QDMA National Convention - Tennessee - Jack Sorber, Jim Dovin.
           Booth at the 4th of july in Montrose - Sorber, Wagner, Butler, Wilcox.
           Branch BoD meeting - Fairdale.
           Planting food Plots SGL 35 - Dave Sienko, Bob Wagner, Larry Lee.
           Sponsored Scott Sienko to the Wildlife Leadership Adventure Camp at Juniate College Field Camp ($350).
           Sponsored Ben Hepler to the Woodland Resource Adventure Camp in Wyoming County ($100).

In The Classroom

The founding directors for the Susquehanna branch of QDMA met in the early summer of 2001.
Helped form by Tim Smail from Southeast Pa. Tim is one of the founders or starters of QDMA in Pa.
The founding directors were:
Chester Frystak  Bob Hotchkiss Gary Passmore Dave Taylor Ed Grasavage EdArnold BobWagner

Currently 4 members are still on the Board
Chester Frystak as Director Emeritus
Ed Grasavage - Director, has served as President and VP, as well as State President
Dave Taylor - Director, has served as Treasurer
Bob Wagner - Secretary

Ron Hollenbeck is currently an Associate director has served as Treasurer.
Bob Hotchkiss - currently lives inArkansas has served as President
Ed Arnold - no longer active with QDMA.

How it all began.....
Director Bob Wagner and Scott Rinehart from Ducks Unlimited
Scott is presenting Bob with a Redhead Duck Decoy for being
'the Ducks Unlimited Pennsylvania Volunteer Conservationist of the year
for 2007'.
Carlos is a senior at Susquehanna Community Jr./Sr. High School. Carlos received the scholarship for his year long educational outreach efforts with the Wildlife Leadership Adventure Camp. Carlos was one of two outstanding 2007 WLA camp graduates to receive a college scholarship
