Dear Mr. Dovin,

On behalf of the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA), I want to personally thank you, your fellow officers, and your entire Branch for conducting a REACH banquet in 2009. While you may not realize it, your support makes a measurable difference in our ability to deliver our mission.
As you are likely aware, 2009 has been a very difficult year for QDMA given the protracted downturn in the economy. We have responded by reducing staff and streamlining every aspect of our operations. These actions have helped, but they have resulted in fewer employees trying to accomplish an even larger workload. Our actions also have impacted our ability to provide the level of support you expect and deserve. Please understand that this is not indicative of our lack of our appreciation, but simply a reflection of a small organization facing unprecedented challenges. That stated, we are currently seeking ways to improve communication and strengthen relationships with our Branches and wanted to start by simply extending our heartfelt thanks.
While we don't say it nearly often enough, you are truly the "lifeblood" of the association at the local level and critical to our strength at the state, national and international levels. The good news is that interest in QDM and QDMA continues to increase and our mission is more relevant and important than ever before. Consequently, we remain extremely optimistic about the future of QDMA and our ability to better serve our members and Branches.  In the meantime, please extend our thanks to everyone in your Branch and let them know that we do care and truly appreciate their understanding and continued support.
Together, we are making a difference - today and for generations to come. Respectfully,

dd
